PID

My husband is suffering from back pain. In medical (short) term they call it PID. I don't know what exactly PID means but from my googalation (is there such a word?!) I found few articles on PID. I'm pretty sure i got it right, it's actually mean "Prolapsed Intervertebral Disc". It has got something to do with the intervertebral disc, maybe caused by lifting heavy stuff at work. I think this is what people mistakenly called it "slipped disc". I'm not a doctor or medical practitioner so I can't comment much.

So I finally found the medical definition here

He needs to go for physio every now and then. Poor hubby :'(

Spider Web

It has been nearly a year since my last post. Wow. I can’t (read: refuse) to believe it. So many things happened for the past year. I’m gonna list down ten things had (could) happened in a year:

  1. I got upgraded at work. Here where I work, it’s such a big deal if your grade increases within 2 years of employment. I met more people and deal with more complicated matters, as compare to the previous year.

  2. We finally got our house renovated – we did the laminated flooring, repainting and installed kitchen cabinets. Overall I’m satisfied with the works done but due to over budget, we did not change the windows, which was supposed to be done simultaneously.

  3. I baked. Seriously. I baked cheesecakes, how cool is that? I never bake. I failed each and every time I tried to put the cake batter in the oven. The joyous victory of all was my blueberry cheesecake I baked for my nephew’s birthday last December. And I occasionally bake brownies at home, using my toaster oven. Iqbal and Omar love eating them.

  4. I travelled twice last year. I went to Iran for my first business trip in June and Tokyo in September. I’m replacing my friend Seri who has left for Singapore, so I’m the new IP babe for Iran project. I work with my other sista, Caz. My Iran trip was such an experience. We went to meet our Iranian lawyer for few matters and went to buy shawls at Punak Sq. The shawls are so nice and kinda cheap. It was summer so the shawls were nicer compare to any other seasons. More colorful, Caz told me. We had trouble with communication connection because there was sanction by the EU during our stay there so internet and phone connection were limited. It was kinda scary because we can’t call home and emails were blocked, so did the cable TV. We had to watch the World Cup in Persian without knowing which teams are playing at that time.

  5. My brother got a new job at Sime Darby, after giving up his shitty job at ME.

  6. My parents went to Mekah again to perform Hajj for the second time.

  7. Met people from around the world from my training in Japan. It was such an experience for me. I will blog about this later.

  8. Gained more weight, instead of losing some. Sigh.

  9. Earthquake and tsunami in Japan. I list this down because it was so bad and such a terrible natural disaster after the great 2004 tsunami.

  10. Iqbal turned two. Yeay!

I’ll try to keep updating this spider web and try to post more photos as possible to make it more ‘interesting’.
